The below FAQ sheet outlines important details you may need. Please refer to the FAQ sheet for any queries and of course if your question cannot be answered, contact the on island concierge for assistance.
  • Hours of Business:
    • Banks open Monday to Thursday from 8am – 3pm and Friday 8am – 5pm.
    • Supermarkets open daily from 8am and close between 7pm and 10pm in the evenings
    • Other retail outlets generally open Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm and on Saturday from 9am – 2pm
    • Special opening hour in December and for public holidays, banks, stores most businesses and all supermarkets are closed

  • Tipping guidelines are as follows:
    • Butler US$115 -$120.00 per week
    • Cook US$85 - $95 per week
    • Maid US$65 - $70 per week
    • Laundress US$65 - $70 per week
    • Gardener US$60 - $65 per week
    • Security US$75 - $80 per week
  • All villas come equipped with hairdryers and beach towels and laundry facilities.
  • Bus fare is BDS$2.00 per person and buses run from 5:00 am – 12:00 midnight
  • We have our own currency which is pegged to the US Dollar at the rate of US$1.00 = BDS$2.00.
  • Our water supply is completely safe to drink directly from the tap and is one of the best in the world. This is due to our unique limestone makeup, which helps to purify and cleanse the water.
  • Tipping at restaurants is at your discretion however, there is a 10% service charge applied to the final bill
  • Dress Code – Swimwear should be reserved for the beach and camouflage is prohibited
  • All beaches in Barbados are public
  • Electricity – 110/230V – Guests may be required to travel with adaptors for certain gadgets. F
