With Rhodes Horseback Riding, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced rider, you will explore Jamaica as you never have before.
We begin in the boarding area and travel with guides down thousands of feet of pristine Caribbean shoreline. Birds are abundant and the views of the crystal sea are certainly spectacular. We then head inland to one of our private lakes frequented by even more birds and our own pet crocodiles. (If you are lucky you might even visit on a day when our reptile friends are feeding!) The horses love to get in the water so on the way back get in with them, splash along the coastline all the way home.

We do not sell our rides by the length of time, we sell them by the stages, it all depends on your capability as a rider.
Riding times are as follows: first ride begins @ 7:45 am, then 8:45 am, 10:45 am, 12:45 pm & 2:45 pm.
Over 70 Horses graze freely in the hills when not in use for horseback riding and our morass (Jamaican swamp) is one of the largest crocodile reserves in Western Jamaica with over 70 residents and an adjoining lake simply named "Crocodile Lake". Other animals living on the property include geese, guinea hens, chickens, roosters, ducks, goats, mongoose, crabs, cats, dogs, doves, parrots, humming birds, doctors birds, myna birds, seagulls, pelicans, sandpipers, heron, vultures, and even peacocks.
Of course, horseback riding is just one of the activities here. SCUBA diving and catamaran tours can be arranged as well. Being just a few miles from Negril, with the multitude of activities there, Rhodes Hall Resort is perfectly located for your vacation.
The terrain covers all that Jamaica has to offer; from beaches to coral coastline, to mountaintops as high a 550 feet affording excellent views all the way to Negril. The lush tropical jungles feature impressive stands of ancient bamboo and numerous types of trees and other rainforest vegetation creating a bird watchers paradise Rhodes Resort has a wide variety of seafront rooms, villas, and suites. All rooms feature full ocean views from furnished verandah and bedside. Each room has a queen size bed, ceiling fan in the room and on the verandah, air conditioning, satellite TV, cell phone, endless hot water, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave, and modern bathrooms. Every room is decorated uniquely and is appointed with original artwork. All of the hotel furnishings and cupboards were manufactured on-site in our own shop using locally available materials. Room accessories such as towel bars, shower & curtain rods, baskets and waste bins are fashioned on-site from bamboo grown on the property. The hotel and plantation grounds are closed to the public and there is 24 hour security.
