The mediaeval city of Rethymnon is home to the Palazzo Vecchio, a shining example of Venetian urban architecture.
A stroll beneath the imposing presence of the city's Venetian fortres, the Fortezza, past the impressive buildings of the old administrative centre, across the great square and down the old lanes at the heart of the Venetian city brings visitors to the 600-year-old Palazzo Vecchio. 

As they cross its threshold visitors will feel that they are walking back in time, passing from today to yesteryear, entering a place where echoes of past centuries meet the pulse of contemporary life.
The Palazzo Vecchio, one of the oldest mansions of Rethymnon, has been restored with skill, taste and respect for its history. The discreet alterations have made it possible to satisfy the needs of the 21st century, without distorting the building's authentic architectural character. 

Its restoration was carried out by Rethymniot craftsmen, who combined their traditonal skills with modern techniques, and authentic Venetian aesthetics were assiduously followed in the furnishings, in the creation of the interior, in forming the large cobbled courtyard and the romantic pool. Visitors can thus enjoy a unique journey into the magical, almost fairytale-like, days of the Venetians, while at the same time living in a carefully-thought-out environment that discreetly satisfies the demands of the modern way of life.

Palazzo Vecchio exclusive residence lies 60km from Chania airport and 85km from Heraklion airport and only 500 meters from Rethymnon port and its sandy beach. The central bus terminal is 200 meters away. It consists of:

Typ A: 12 studios (3-4 beds), 

Typ B: 6 apartments (4 beds) and, 

Typ C: 5 two-storeyed (4-5 beds). 

They are all air-conditioned, with satelite TV (7 international & all greek channels), safe box, direct dial phone, fax facilities and internet connection. The bar is open from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm.
